Aerial view, village of Fauquier on Lower Arrow Lake, August 1984. Photo was taken via remotely-controlled model airplane by Walter Panknin, twin brother of Gertrud Klopp of Fauquier. North is at bottom right. Highway 6 runs from bottom left to Fauquier ferry landing at centre right. Needles-Fauquier ferry on Lower Arrow Lake right of ferry landing. Fauquier & District Golf Course just right of centre. Applegrove Road branches off of Highway 6 at centre. Oak Street runs parallel to Highway 6 and Applegrove Road just left of centre. Inscription on rear by Walter Panknin: 'This is one of the only pictures of Fauquier B.C. ever taken out of a remote controlled model air plane by Walter Panknin (Germany) for the peole of this beautiful community, Aug. 84'.
