: Ellis Anderson postcard ('Kootenay Card') of east end of Summit Lake, ca. late 1960s-early 1970s. Inscription on rear: 'Calm waters mirror the rocky crags of the Nakusp Range at Summit Lake, 9 miles southeast of Nakusp. Early in the century a large sawmill operated on the shore of this lake (which was partially dammed to facilitate log floating). A savage forest fire wiped out the settlement in 1925. Today tourist facilities here draw camping, swimming and boating enthusiasts.'
