View from hillside of Sandon City Hall (built 1900), 1972. Catholic Church manse immediately to right. Notes: 'City Hall from 1900-1920. Home to Provincial Policeman 1920-1925. Reconstructed in 1925 to become a new school for Sandon. Sandon Public School 1925-1954. Bought by Eugene Petersen in 1954 for demolition—Eugene planned to use the lumber to build a dream home in Kaslo. The city hall was about 60% stripped by 1988, when Eugene died.'
