Launching of sturgeon-nosed canoe made using traditional Ktunaxa & Sinixt-style methods (the first such canoe constructed on the Arrow Lakes since 1911) by students from Nakusp Secondary School, Upper Arrow Lake at Kuskanax Point, Nakusp, 16 June 1978. Students Brent Volansky and Lorne Allard placing canoe in water. Nakusp Secondary vice-principal Bill Robison with back to camera.
