: Men hauling brush out of the forest following wreck of Nigel Waterfield's plane in trees on hillside 5 miles south of Galena Bay and 100 feet east of Highway 23, 17 October 1978. Along with passenger Mutt Papov and Ed Homis, Waterfield was making a trip to Kamloops from Nakusp when he aborted the flight near Revelstoke due to fog and turned back, crashing near the highways. All three suffered moderate injuries.
