A tanker truck carrying 48,700 litres of gasoline burns on Highway 6 along the Summit Lake S-curves, 15 July 1983. Driver Clarence Docker of Calgary had swerved to avoid a pickup truck travelling in the wrong lane, causing the tank to rupture and catch fire.
