: Burned lumber and destroyed autonmobiles following Columbia River Shake & Shingle mill fire, Kuskanax delta, Nakusp, 16 August 1973. The fire began in the beehive burner and engulfed between 15 and 20 acres, destroying CRSS and the neighbouring B.J. Carney poleyard. Reconstruction began immediately and the mill was reopened in April 1974.
