Notes from Milton Parent: 'Hess & Guyet. Location - 160 acres, Blks 4-5, Brouse, 1907. Builder, Info - Built for them by Neubrand (Newbrand) and Swedish men. Log house. Sub owners - Some sold to Reyden, Bergwerf, Flaming, 12 acres to Emil Henke. Sydney File bought 40 acres including the house prob about 1920. File burns the house down after a few years. Rappe.
