All haymaking done by tractor and machinery. Here you see Walter [Walter Nelson] with his Fordson tractor using hydraulic lift to place hay on wagon load. Hay is unloaded into barn loft by machinery and automatic release on pully overhead runway and no manual forking method. We sold out horses about eight years ago. May garden of vegetables is in foreground. We grow maize (Indian corn) for poultry, also turnips, carrot, beets, potatoes (four kinds), Swiss chard, cabbage, lettuce and tomatoes. that is a Famcuse (?) apple tree to left.
