: Allen house, Nakusp, 1940. Notes from Milton Parent: "Allen, Rev. DK. Location - 112 3rd Ave NW. Lots 1-7, Blk 18. Builder, info - Built circa 1913. The Allens had been living in a little cottage on the corner of these lots owned previously by the Rushton family. Then they moved into the new house. Sub owners - United Church.' Second page of notes: 'Built for Rev. John Salter Allen. There was a small house owned by the Rushtons on the lots first. John's son Frank and daughters Jean and Avalena lived there until it was made into a manse from the United Church.'
