Crowd paying respects to bodies of seven deceased miners being pulled through streets of Beaton by horse teams, winter 1898. Andy Craig with moustache at centre. Prospector's Exchange hotel in background. Notes from Wayne Logus via Edna Daney: 'The bodies of 7 miners being hauled to Arrowhead over the ice. They were gassed at the Nettie L mine. The men came from Nova Scotia. Bodies were shipped back.'
