Susie Smith – mother-in-law of Gordon Allan (the United Church minister in Nakusp at the time who was killed in a road accident the following year). Susie's cousin Tristram Chivers – now a retired Chemistry Professor at University of Calgary. Susie's mother and Tristram's father were sister & brother born in Bath UK in the second half of the 19C. All the siblings except for Tristram's father emigrated to Canada, USA or Australia. Susie's borther was Ed Mannings, a Nelson businessman.'
