Launch Olivia docked 0.5 miles above Pingston Creek at Andy Symons' home, Upper Arrow Lake, May 1907. L-R: Rand Gibbons, Andy Symons, three Symons daughters. Notes from John Nelson: 'J. Nelson's steam cabin launch Olivia at Mr. A.M. Symons' landing, Pingston Creek, Arrow Lake, May 1907. This boat was built at Comaplix Sept. 1906. Cabin erected at Lamb-Watson Lbr Co's sawmill early spring 1907. Equipped with [illegible] Coil tube rapid streaming generator, 1910. Wood burning. Steaming to 60 lbs. gauge pressure in seven minutes from all cold. 150 lbs. pressure in ten minutes. The most independent powerboat to sail the lakes. In service for almost twenty years.
