: Postcard showing bird's-eye view of Canadian Pacific (Nakusp & Slocan) Railway slip at Rosebery, Slocan Lake, ca. late 1960s-early 1970s. Photo by Ellis Anderson of Creston. Inscription on rear: 'Rosebery occupies a beautifully wooded delta, surrounded by the shimmering waters of Slocan Lake and backed by majestic, snow-crowned ranges. Since the mining rush of the 1890s, Rosebery has been a major transport centre. At one time the little town supported a large mine concentrator, hotels and stores. Only one store remains – a rare cafe–confectionery–antique combination. Today, the Slocan's largest camping facilities are located along the banks of sparkling Wilson Creek.'
