Inscription on rear from Nelson: 'S.S. Minto. In service on Arrow Lakes 1898 to 1954. Purchased by John Nelson, Galena Bay, June 15th, 1956. Boiler and engine removed at Nakusp May 1956. Is being fitted up as a private historical museum. Will be beached near present location if water rises to convenient height in June 1960. J.N.'
