Westar mill superintendent Rick Forgaard (left) presenting a plaque to Arrow Lakes Historical Society president Milton Parent (right) commemorating the donation of the original whistle from the SS Minto to the society, Nakusp Launch Club marina, 26 June 1986. The whistle had been used at the Celgar mill in Nakusp and then the Celgar/Westar mill in Castlegar to announce shift changes. It would now be installed at the new Nakusp visitor centre.
