Nelson City Hall (demolished autumn 1960) with flags in background behind Ellison Building. Notes from Nelson Daily News, 11 April 1960: 'Two men escaped with minor injuries when a helicopter crashed in Nelson Saturday. Pilot James Grady tried to land the machine on the city wharf roadway when engine trouble developed, but the craft slid across the road, hit adjoining railway track and nosedived into the beach. Passenger was Glen McEachern.'
