Caption from Nelson Daily News: 'Significant of the change that is occuring on every hand, and symbolic, too, is the old base of the Cenotaph at Edgewood. The monument, itself, has been dismantled and will be moved to a new location in the community. All that remains are the remanants [sic] of its base.'
