Mill workers at Genelle's mill at Westley (Wesley) posing with stacked lumber astride rails. Jack Genelle at top right. Site is now occupied by by the Celgar pulp mill. Notes from Bruce Rohn: 'This was Genelles mill, 1898 to make mainly ties for the start of the Columbia & Western Railway. Known as the "Material Yard" as all contractors for the railway assembled their material here. Was used until Genelle built the main Yale-Columbia mill in 1902. Just north of West Robson.....took on the name of Westley quite a bit later.'
