Notes:
John Nelson photo of Arrowhead Co-operative Association store and Wallis' drugstore above Canadian Pacific Railway tracks, Arrowhead, early 1951. The photo was sent by Nelson to Florence Newman, grandmother of Barb Steele, in 1961. Inscription on rear: 'At Arrowhead, B.C. Early 1951 showing Mr. Wallis' old-time drug store to right (that you knew in 1908). Was destroyed by fire in 1953. Those tall leafless trees are Russian poplars planted in 1913. Now no more steam locomotive on Canadian Pacific Railway. No passenger coaches to Arrowhead now, only diesel freight train for lumber cars on Tuesdays. Your old house now occupied by Mr. & Mrs. Jack Tillen and family who are the town's social centre. The house seems in good order and the St. Cuthbert's Anglican Church is close by, but is now governed by the United Church. The part shown in this photo will be covered by the High Arrow Dam in 1965. Phot by John Nelson. Sent Jan. 4th 1961.'
