Inscription on rear: 'On the trail to the Big Ledge mining claims four miles west of Pingston Creek Upper Arrow Lake. Dark place in centre is the red ochre cliff from which the native Indians got their colouring for their celebrated cliff paintings seen at various points along the shores of both Upper and Lower Arrow Lakes.
